Moonlight Garden
Years ago my mother planted a moonlight garden. We would walk quietly through the almost-tangible darkness of the night, my mother whispering the name of her beloved plants to me, or perhaps she spoke with the stars. When we reached the small alcove where white blooms glowed like droplets of moonbeams, our shared delight was wordless, our hearts serene.
It was lovely to enter that almost other-worldly space together, enveloped by glowing orbs which, upon closer inspection, were delicate pearl-petals surrounded by black-velvet grass. We stayed as long as the cool night allowed, as long as we dared linger in a realm between what is and what might be.
If you, too, would love to experience the nighttime wonder of a moonlit garden, make your plans to visit the Krohn Conservatory by April 19th.
