This monthly gathering is open to anyone interested in putting words to paper (or screen). No matter if you are new to writing or if you are a best selling author, this welcoming, respectful, and friendly group offers encouragement, support, and when asked, honest critique.
A free program of the Lawrenceburg Public Library District, this afternoon meeting is an offshoot of the longstanding Creative Writer’s Guild that continues to meet from 6:30-8:00 on the second Thursday of each month. This afternoon option is being offered to writers whose schedules don’t allow for evening events, for anyone who prefers not to drive in the dark, and for writers who like the flexibility of day and/or night options. CWGII will meet at 2pm on the second Thursday of each month through the late fall and winter, and might continue if there is enough interest.
Registration is available only through the LPLD website, beginning on or about September 8th. There is no fee to participate, no multi-meeting commitment necessary, and no required sharing of your work.
I am sharing this information because I’ve been a member of Creative Writers Guild, and its precursor: WordWrites Guild, for many years. I am not an administrator or facilitator; simply a happy writing member of this wonderful group of fellow writers. I’d love to see you at first afternoon meeting this October!
