Writing Prompt: Wood Smoke and Friendship

As many of you know, I belong to a writers group. Over the last 15 years or so, it has grown and shrunk, challenged and dozed, but throughout, this group has offered encouragement and shared commiseration.

Each month we come up with a different writing prompt that can be used as is, or treated as a suggestion, or even ignored altogether. Because I get so much from these open ended prompts, I thought I’d share at least a few of them from time to time. As you can see above, this month’s inspiration is: Wood Smoke and Friendship. Let’s see what we can come up with!
